Contemporary Empathy burst into life in the beginning of 2020, right on the brink of a global crisis that would propel the need for communication, collaboration, and empathy to the forefront of public and private sectors.

Exploratory conversations around the role of empathy in innovation and strategy were beginning to take place, but who was actually applying it, or delivering professional training to develop these essential skills?

Founder Ellen Buckland launched Contemporary Empathy to empower others with creative communication skills that will shape more effective and empathetic leaders and businesses.

MISSION

Contemporary Empathy seeks to make the business world more human centred through training professionals in the areas of Emotional Intelligence, Creativity, and Communication.

All of our services have been designed using the unique methodology of Contemporary Empathy: combining Professional Theatre training with Design Thinking.

At the intersection of these two disciplines is communication and creative problem solving grounded in empathy; which will add meaning and value to both professional and personal contexts.
