The Long Story: In Ellen´s words...

Dear Reader,

I am thrilled that Contemporary Empathy has sparked your interest! I want to give you a little background context on why and how I developed these training sessions , and what they they can offer you as a professional.

Understanding what makes people tick is an art form, and one that I have been practicing for as long as I can remember.

Childhood people-watching progressed into a career in theatre and performance, through which I discovered the complexity of human behaviour, developed a unique physical and vocal vocabulary, and sought to tell meaningful stories to a wide range of audiences.

Discovering the power of empathy and dialogue led me from theatre to education, using my skills to maximise others´ potential for communication, empowering learners with increased self confidence, and paving the way to public speaking prowess. A Master´s in ´CX and Innovation´ added a Design Thinking mindset to my facilitation style and exposed the need for communication training across different industries.

Curiosity drives my professional quest today to design meaningful human experiences with the power to make a difference, and you will find my consulting style is interactive, dynamic, and unique!

Contemporary Empathy was launched to:

  1. Empower others with skills, knowledge and tools to transform their communication.

  2. Train business professionals in empathy for innovation and problem solving.

  3. Inject creativity, play, and fun into learning.

  4. Build creative teams and leaders who can thrive in ambiguity and tackle complex challenges.

  5. Promote empathetic communication and open dialogue for social innovation

I believe that everyone has the potential to become a more effective and empathetic communicator and want to help you explore that potential.
